Western Sydney Region and Community Drug Action Teams

Information and contact details for the Western Sydney Region and Community Drug Action Teams.

Overview

The Drugs and Community Action Strategy (DCAS) Western Sydney Region is comprised of eight Local Government Areas including Auburn, Baulkhum Hills, Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Holroyd, Parramatta and Penrith.  The Western Sydney Region is characterised by a relatively young population and also, together with South Western Sydney Region, has the highest population of people in NSW who were born overseas.

There are currently four Community Drug Action Teams actively meeting in Western Sydney Region including Auburn, Blacktown, Blue Mountains and Parramatta.  CDATs in this Region have a particular youth focus given the young population and aim to deliver quality drug and alcohol information to the community, with particular consideration for NESB families given the culturally diverse population in the Region.
