South Western Sydney Region and Community Drug Action Teams

Information and contact details for the South Western Sydney Region and Community Drug Action Teams.

Overview

The Drugs and Community Action Strategy (DCAS) South Western Sydney region covers the Local Government Areas of Bankstown, Camden, Campbelltown, Canterbury, Fairfield, Liverpool and Wollondilly.

The South Western Sydney Region has a significant youth population and is also characterised by the large population of culturally and linguistically diverse groups.  Some of the other predominant languages spoken in the region include Vietnamese, Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Italian and Spanish.

There are currently six operational CDATs in South Western Sydney Region including Airds/Bradbury, Bankstown, Canterbury, Fairfield, Liverpool and Yura Yulang (which is an Aboriginal CDAT in the Campbelltown LGA).  CDATs in this region are very committed to raising drug awareness of alcohol and drug issues, producing and distributing drug and alcohol resources and gathering information on emerging drug issues and trends.
